Altitude Camp

Altitude Camp is where the adventure begins!

It’s a 5-Day program where we take participants into the mountains above Lukla and progressively introduce them to higher altitudes. During this period we will be able to monitor people’s health and ability to handle the conditions. This time also allows participants to see a remote part of Nepal that’s off the beaten tourist path, while also becoming familiar with the food, beverages and general trail conditions they can expect during the event. What’s more, you can also get to know your fellow participants and have ample time to ask any final questions to the event organisers.

This is a compulsory part of the Run Everest experience. Not only to facilitate some acclimatisation to altitude, but to allow our team to asses everyone’s ability, current state of health, finalise the meal plans and room allocations, and to conduct some pre-event briefings and educational seminars.

The days will include treks, daily talks on Nepalese culture, history, flora and fauna, as well as detailed briefings about the event.
